When I click folder(s) from "Explore", the files won't come up, except telling me the number of object(s) at the left bottom of the "Explore" window.

I'm not sure what you're asking here, but maybe the folder contains hidden files.
On WinNT4 explorer I can view hidden files by going to "View|Options|View TAB" and selecting "View All Files".

Hello Epout.
Not sure what you're asking here, could you be more precise as to what you are doing, and what you are trying to achieve. If you could give a step by step walk through, that'd be great

Here you go...
Right click on "Start"
click "Explorer"
click the "+" right by WINNT
You will see Folders on Left pane and Folders and Files on Right pane
But unfortunately there is nothing on the Right pane
You know and I know there are folders and files under WINNT.
I see the toltal number of objects (e.g. 133 object(s)(Disk free spae:2.54GB) at the bottom of the left pane. But where are they?
Look at the bottom of your explorer. You'll know what I'm saying.
Any advice?

What version of windows are you using?
On 2000 there should be a screen in the right pane that says "this folder contains files that keep your system working properly. There is no need to modify it's contents" and you have to click a link of 'show files' to even see what's in there. Once you do that, they all pop up.

Why assume NT just because WINNT is mentioned? W2K has a WINNT directory aswell

Hello Epout
Is this a work computer? If so your company may be applying policies to prevent users from doing certain things.

Win2K is also referred to as NT5, which was the original title until it took microsloth about 2 years to release the bloody thing.
