Mysteriously, the entire top navigation toolbar in Word 2002 has disappeared. I have deleted normal.dot, uninstalled and reinstalled Word 2002. The toolbar is still missing. I only have the regular toolbar menu icons, no navigation toolbar. I have researched as much as I can and have not come across anything relative to help me solve this problem. I therefore turn this over to this forum. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Strange.

For what it's worth, right-click in your toolbar area and choose 'customize'. Then go to the Toolbars tab and see if "Menu Bar" is selected in the list. If it's not, see if you can select it.

I'm not sure how you killed it, since when I go to the list I can't *un* select it.

Also try clicking the 'reset' button on that same tab; see if that brings it back.

Other than that, I personally haven't a clue ::confused:

And for my part - I've seen this too. :wavey:
A user rang and said ALL his toolbars have disappeared - so it looks like 'Full Screen' is selected (but it's not).
I've pressed keystrokes, right-clicked - nada.
It's so weird.
I tried on my own machine to get rid of all toolbars - but it wouldn't let me remove 'Menu' - and rightfully so.
Well, this sounds like a number of others are experiencing this as well - I mean, it's not a one-of situation, but more prolific.
