I recently reinstalled my windows XP. I then reinstalled my Office 97. I can print in Powerpoint and through Internet Explorer version 6. When I tried to print in Word and Excel, the printer will have all the sounds and motions of printing but the paper will be blank. I have uninstalled and installed Office 97 a few times but to no avail. I have deleted and reloaded the HP Deskjet 810C driver but nothing changes. My printer is HP Deskjet 810C. My installation of XP and Office 97 is perfect, no error messages. I have put in Office 97 service release 1 but nothing works. I have tried shutting down the antivirus and firewall but the problem remains. Any help would be appreciated.

Does the printer work when you print a test sheet using the controls on the printer? Do yiu need a new ink cartridge? I'm not familiar with this printer but some newer printers require a 2 way printer cable. If it worked before, it is probably not the cable.

Also, press Ctrl-P and check any options on these screens.

Office 97 has SR-2, but I doubt this is your problem.

You may want to visit HP's website and download the print driver for Windows XP for your printer.
