Text wrap in a text field

Creating forms to be filled out on pc. Having an issue with text wrapping, or rather, not wrapping, in a form field. Behavior is as follows: Have a sentence preceding field. When field content reaches margin the entire first sentence drops to the next (full) line and wraps normally frfom that point on. How do I get the first sentence to wrap other than the obvious of putting the field on the next line....not an option in this case and must stay on same line.
Just FYI....being done in word instead of outlook because the forms go into a 3rd party app that automates word as the editor. My version of word is in office 2002.
