horizontal ruler

hello to everbody and a happy new year

Office 2003 SP1, english edition

until a short while ago the horizontal ruler was set in such a way, that it was usually hidden, and only when a moved over it with the mouse, it was shown. but now it is always displayed. how can i correct this?

On the View menu uncheck Ruler.
