Distribution List Question

Is it possible to select a subset of a distribution list and send an email to just the people selected? After I select the subset there seems to be no way transfer the names to a new email.

Have you tried putting this sub list into a new group and then use that group to send your email to?

tools/address book/new/new group/name it then add your subset/click ok
