Problems receiving attachments

OE is not allowing any .PDF or .ZIP attachments through. The security patch i have applied on Outlook 2000 does allow these in. Can anyone suggest a work around?

First point of call will be to zip and password that zip file, and email, this will bypass firewalls and outlook ok, unless these have been blocked by the IT departments or at operator’s request.

Don’t forget to first sent a simple email giving the password or the poor guy receiving will be a tad miffed

Hello Scooby

OE V6 SP1 removes access to potentially unsafe attachments. Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs, but check the version of OE you are using by going to Help>About Microsoft OE.
If you are running V6 you can bypass the attachment block by going to: tools>options>security> and then take the tick out of the box that says 'Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially contain a virus' Hope this works for you
