Hi Rob,

Sound like You need to clean the computer from Tmp-files :-)

1. Open the explorer.,
2. Search for files with the suffix *.tmp, *.temp and *.chk
3. Delete them all.

There are software-tools available but I believe that above will be sufficient.

Warm regards,
Dennis

Rob, we've got all the steps in detail at www.theofficeexperts.com/cleanyourpc.htm

Then, there's a bunch of sites like this one (which I must have liked a little better at tht time 'cause I saved it in my favorites), and they tell you what all (or most) the programs are:

http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist.htm

I personally don't run the realplayers and such; and if you don't have to have the weather all the time, why have it there.

Don't know where you got your list from, but you can hit Start-Run and type msconfig and hit enter. Go to the Startup tab and make sure nothing is checked TWICE. Inevitably, somebody's got things checked twice.

Thx Dreamboat

yes Dennis reply Reminded me of your Clean your P C Page. Just finished and seems to have done the trick. however there was one task that i could not preform.

Step 3: Delete temporary Internet files.

"Click on the Delete files button. Do NOT click the checkbox for “delete all off-line content”. Hit Ok."

when i tryed this it locked up on me and got the old not responding.

yes i have deleted real player and couple of others that I recognized and have no use for.

I will check out your link

Thx again
