I received a free (used) Dell Optiiplex260 from Target Surplus sales. These computers are donated to Govt. entities. They come with no operating system installed. There is a Window XP sticker on the tower, so Windows must have been installed at one time.
I need to know what Windows XP program I need to buy. Can I just purchase the Microsoft Windows XP Home Upgrade version for $99.00, or do I need a different version?
Also, I have another Dell (XPS400) computer........Would the XP Home disk for that computer work with the Optiplex computer? Thanks much!
