Regardless of the outlook profile used the application is freezing when opened. I tried starting the app with outlook /a which i believe is a troubleshooting command but it didn't work. Any advice from the experts out there? :)
Thanks

Have you run repair of Office via the control panel?

Sorry, you shouldn't have had to uninstall/reinstall. Just REPAIR.

I tried deleting all the profiles in outlook to start again. I deleted all but the first one which gives me an error when i try. I surmise that the problem is a corrupted profile. Does anyone know where i can delete the profile aside from outlook properties??
Thanks

Just answered this somewhere else 2 minutes ago, so copying...
I assume you're on an exchange server?
Control panel-->Mail (or mail and fax).
You should see your profile in there. Make sure you get all the "info" from it, including your name (which is as the Exchange server sees it) and your exchange server's name.
Then, you don't even have to delete your existing profile, just try to create a new one and use the new one.

I'm getting the same error when selecting "MAIL" in control panel that I now get when i select Outlook->properites from the desktop. I get an "action could not be completed. The Action could not be completed." error
Any ideas?
Thanks

Got an exchange server admin? You need them.

The mailbox opens fine when i set up the account on another computer. It's only the one PC that has the problem so it seems to be the profile on the PC not the server.

Really, though, scoob. I think the problem resides in Windows or something because that's a control panel item. I would talk to your IT department...
Seriously, not trying to blow you off. Sounds more like that component might need to be reinstalled...and I think that means Windows...

That's the conclusion i came to previously but wanted to get the opinion of others.
